Couples therapy and pairs therapy explores patterns of communication that repeat unhelpfully, causing distress, anger, confusion and hurt.
I offer a space for siblings, friends, parents and adult children as well as business partners to look at the dynamics that unfold in their relational interactions.
The focus of the work is ‘the relationship’ not either one person or another – exploring for example; how difference is navigated, needs expressed, anger received, space allowed.
What might your relationship need more of? Less of? What do you feel might be missing? Can you hear each other? What happens when you listen, what do you notice as present, missing, longed for or rejected and how do you each and both together deal with difficult feelings.
The aim is to create a safe space where the relationship itself can be supported to express what needs to be expressed, so in this way, the relationship is the client rather than two individuals.
